Our Job Centre is made up of a professional (but not profit-driven) Placement Agency geared towards servicing the market as well as all graduates from our WORK 4 A LIVING Job Skills Workshops.

  • A form of Identification (ID/Social Security/Passport/Other)
  • Copy of your report from highest Grade Passed.
Getting a Job

Students who show excellence in the following criteria are selected for a reference certificate:

  • Fluent English
  • Friendliness
  • Reliability
  • Strong work ethic

The Process:

  • Complete the W4aL program
  • A company requests staff
  • We place a Job Opportunity on Facebook
  • Interested students come in for a screening interview
  • Suitable candidates are sent for an interview with the company.
WORK 4 A LIVING is NOT responsible for finding you a job. We teach you how to find your own. You will only be added to the Job Centre database if you meet our standards.

PHASE 2: Specific Skills

The Phase 2 Skills will assist you in tailoring your abilities, having training in specific skills will help make you a more favourable applicant for the job market. Certificates are issued if the course is completed and paid for in full. Please book your space in advance as classes fill up quickly.

Computer Literacy

2 Week programme from 08:00 – 16:00

Space is limited, so please book your place in advance.

The course covers:

  • The basic computer technology

  • Microsoft Office programs like  Excel and Word

  • How to use the internet  and an Email service

Final exam has a pass requirement of 75%


1 Week from 13:00 – 15:30

The course covers the basics of:

  • Waitering

  • Table set and serving etiquette

  • Bay management

  • Cleaning, hygiene and communication in the kitchen

  • Wine stewarding and understanding the menu
